Frozen Yogurt Pops

I got this little recipe from my Deceptively Delicious cookbook and they were a hit with my little one a few months back so I thought Id share. I made them with blueberries this time but you can try ANY berry and I like the fact that you can replace popsicles and ice cream with something relatively healthy. My son isnt yet a fan of ice cream but he does like the taste of popsicles which have no nutritional value. You will need:

2 cups plain lowfat yogurt
2 cups frozen berries (thawed in microwave for one minute)

½
to ¾ cup confectioners' sugar (suggested to use ¾ for raspberries because they are tart)
popsicle molds

Combine yogurt, fruit, and sugar in a blender or food processor and process until smooth. Pour into popsicle molds and freeze.

You may want to adjust the recipe according to the size of your molds. My molds are little so with this recipe I could have made at least 16 yogurt pops if not more. Like I said, they were a hit!

  1. Yum - I love frozen stuff and judging by the look on your cutie's face, my kids would enjoy these. Also, thanks for entering my giveaway! I'm so glad it led me to your blog, even though I'm sorta scared of the scary roadside bunny in your last post. :)
