Vintage Glassware

Lately Goodwill and a few other thrift stores have been very good to me. Im going to break up my finds by catagories because Im far too lazy to post them all at once haha! Hey Im honest! These are the recent glassware goodies.

Termocrisa, Mexicos version of Fire King

Folky mugs

50s glasses. They arent in the best of shape but for 99 cents eh whatever. Sad thing is alot of the damage done was taking the dang tape off that they use to keep sets together. Anyone know of a better way to get the tape off? Maybe soaking them? Or maybe alcohol and cotton balls? WHY am I thinking of these things now? Let me know what you ladies do!

A Few Good Finds

So sorry for the lack of posts. My mind has been on other things. Mainly my husband coming home for R&R next month!!! Awesome that he will be home, sucky that its only for about 2 weeks. But Ill take it!
Anyhoo I found a new thrift store in town the other day. I think I might have seen it before but Im never in that area. One day we happened to be so me and the kids got our thrift on. I spent about $10 and this is what I got.

Forgive le dirt. I didnt clean them up before I took the photos doh! Anyways I found a Hakusan China cup and snackplate. So cute. I think they were made in the early 40s but not sure. Anyone know?

Two wooden tiki masks for a hangin'. One is a lil chipped and doesnt have the hook anymore but the chip adds to the charm and Im sure I can add a hook later.

6 more plates to add to the 24 pieces I found at Goodwill last year. The pattern is called Platinum Starburst and I believe these were made in 1935.

New (to me) Glasses

First off I have to say, where does the time go? I get busy and put off blogging and the next thing I know weeks have gone by. I read blogs, but didnt have the motivation to actually write anything myself even though I have had some things to say. ::sigh::
Anyways this is my 100th post! Break out the cyber streamers and noise makers!

Now that thats out of the way I can show you the new to me glasses I got a while back. I got them from the guy that I bought the lamps from. Im telling you he has a ton of stuff I want. Mostly pink pyrex and more glassware but since I have no where to display anything yet, and when I do it will be filled fast I need to restrain myself a lil.

Love em! Not the best of photos I know. Will we drink out of these? Probably not til the kids are older. Hide the glasses but use the two tiered shaded lamps you ask? Yeah my reasoning doesnt always make sense to even me. We dont really have room for more glasses in the cupboard but hopefully soon I will have my moms china cupboard and my 30s china and these sweet babies will hang out together soon. And by soon I mean hopefully in the next year or so. Your guess is as good as mine because we have to go pick it up. Im still thinking about some of the other glasses he has. If I can find the photos maybe Ill let everyone out in bloggerworld see why I keep buying from the same guy haha. XX

Cute N Lil

Just like my lil Lorelei. I found this purse at Goodwill not too long ago for $1.79. Super cute I think but too small for this mama. I need something big enough to lug purse and diaper bag essentials. If it was bigger I would keep it for myself but it just so happens to be the perfect size for a fashionable toddler! This is the same Goodwill I found her cute little red jewelry box that if it had been bigger I wouldve kept it for myself ha! Everytime I go there I find something miniature size for her. Shes a lucky lady.

Electric Sex

I couldnt get the other pair of lamps off my mind. I thought I would be happy with the other pair I got which were cheaper. I thought Id be happy enough to just get those and save us some money. But after thinking nonstop about them I knew that this chance probably wasnt going to come along very many times, if at all. So I contacted him this morning and said I had the money if he still had the lamps. He got them out of storage and I picked them up early this afternoon.

Isnt it glorious? I have a pair. With original shades. In working condition. Im in love.

I heart my vanity.

Im probably the least vain gal around but I love my vanity.

Just looking at it makes me happy haha.

Unfortunately I dont have any pretties on it right now. My son is going to be two next month. Sometimes he can be grabby. Usually only at home, and usually only when he knows he shouldnt be touching. He does it on the sneaky sneak. Better safe than sorry!

They dont make furniture with beautiful detail like that anymore.
