Hmm 7 things. Ok here goes..
1) I have secretly been losing baby weight and not sharing it on my blog. *gasp* Id rather not blog about being a fatass after having 2 babies. Ive lost 25 pounds which is fantastic but I have hit a plateau, that I already overcame once before Christmas before my mom visited. I ate alot and gained 5 pounds back so Im trying to overcome the dreaded 25 pound plateau for a second time, and losing this round miserably.
2) I have a fierce caffeine habit that Ive been trying to kick. Im down to about 3 caffeinated drinks a day and almost ready to ween myself down to 2. I used to drink the 8 glasses of water a day and remember feeling and looking great and miss that. Im just so tired being the equivalent of a single mama during this deployment.
3) I watched Spongebob long before I even thought about having kids and loved it.

4) I have had alot of pets in my life. One dog, two cats, two hampsters, several fish, a rabbit, a few chicks, and two turtles. I have cried over the loss of every one of them except for the fish, the rabbit and one of the hampsters.
5) Ive had a Facebook page less than 6 months. Mainly created it due to boredom and loneliness.
6) I know what I saw as a little girl whether you or anyone else believes in it. Lots of strange things happened in that house.
7) Snakes give me the heebie jeebies. I have watched thousands of horror movies and never had nightmares. I could see a snake on a movie or animal planet and I have terrible nightmares haha.

Seeing Spots

I havent done my nails in say..oh.. over 6 months. Its not really practical for me to not have use of my hands for any length of time, and its also not practical to have to redo them constantly. Pre-kid me had toes and nails done always, but those days are long gone. Now its just usually the toenails, if I can swing it. So you can imagine my excitement when I came across these Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nail Polish Strips! I was completely skeptical. I honestly didnt think they would work out like the box claimed, but they do! Its a little costly in my opinion for one application at around $9 per box so I dont expect to use them very often. There are many different patterns though so if you cant DIY your nails or afford to get them done and dig this type of thing, this is perfect for you!

They are supposed to last for 10 days. We shall see, but so far I can say that they have lasted longer than regular nail polish.

All in all I'd say they are kinda cute.

A Fishy Situation

I have had this small fish tank for ages. I have moved at least 4 times since getting it as a gift and never took it out of the box. Either boredom or craziness has made me decide to get the kids a fish. I will probably regret it but the deed is done. Meet the new addition to the family:





As of right now he does not have a name. We've had him for over 24 hrs and so far he hasnt gone to the big fish tank in the sky so I have to say so far so good ha! I still dont know what I was thinking. Like I need one more thing to clean and take care of. Speaking of fish, I dont think Ive ever shown the chalkware fish I have in our half bath. Or our half bath at all. So here it is!




I love the old medicine cabinets in this house.

Both bathrooms have heaters like this, and they still work.

I adore this little window. I never use the half bath though so I never get to enjoy it.

Coffee, Tea or Me?

I had promised a loooong ago to post photos of the goodies I got with the most generous $50 Ebay giftcard from Vintage Christines giveaway. Thing is, I have only spent a small portion of it. I know, right?! What am I waiting for?? It seems like when I have no money to spend, everything catches my fancy, and when I do I am a total schrewd with bidding. I did manage to get these super cute kitchen canisters. Practical and pretty!

Cold Days and Warm Jammies.

Tennessee has had some very cold days this past month. The coldest winter since Ive been here thats for sure. We've also had some snowy days which are pretty but when you have to go out at 830am to scrape the snow and ice off the car it kinda loses its luster haha. My motto lately has been "Snow snow go away, come again another day.. like when hubby is home to clean off the car and take out the garbage." Days like that is when hes glad to be in Afghanistan, except when it snows there haha. SO with the cold weather, and both of my kids coming down with a sickness last week, Ive been spending alot of time in my jammies. They are so warm and cozy and they have owls on them. Yay!

Excuse the all the Spongebob and toys. The full length mirror is in the kids room. It was there when we bought the house! I also have a similar pair thats blue with sugar skulls on them! So comfortable! For you ladies that have a K-Mart nearby, go check out their sleepwear! Im not usually a K-Mart shopper but I got both of these jammies on clearance a few weeks back.
